I ended up being sucked into the story and was thoroughly immersed to the end. The characters were instantly familiar, the story short (I always hate when great stories end), yet rich and full. It's the kind of short story that can easily adapt into a full-length film (wink, wink). I await anxiously to read the remainder of what looks to be Mr. Essington's finest writing yet.
