The Maguire Seven have now been cleared of all charges, and the discredited West Midlands Crime Squad have now been disbanded. Clive Walker is Professor of Law and Director of the Centre for Criminal Justice Studies at the University of Leeds. He is the author of The Prevention of Terrorism in British Law and of Political Violence and the Law in Ireland. Keir Starmer is a barrister who practices and writes in the field of civil liberties.
