In years passed, ministers were like symbols of God's presence, a direct representation of God on earth in a person. Having them around was like physically having Jesus to talk to and walk with. It was a privilege to have a pastor, a prophet, or a priest as a colleague, neighbour, friend etc. because having them at a close range can bring succour, encouragement, direction, wisdom due to the counsels they would give. They spoke the mind of God and presented the word of God as it is. A mention of them generates spontaneous respect for the office in the heart of believers. Even though some of them were abused and disregarded, we know that it was out of ignorance and not out of knowledge. Because the people had given themselves to so much to iniquity, the word of God became a repugnant. Even in the face of disrepute, they did not swerved intentions. But the case is different today. Because of how some ministers have wrought and acting, a mere mention of the title, pastor or prophet or even a priest strikes a concordance of negativities. You hear statements like, pastors of nowadays; they are all the same; be very careful of men of God etc. some ministers have in the guise of presenting the word of God as it is, abuse their privileges, manipulated the people and have kept them in their paw of perpetual exploitation and spiritual bondage. Christian however have through the help of the Holy Spirit come to see that most of the things they see in these ministers negates much of what the scriptures says about a minister, hence the "Draw Back." One way to restore the loss respect and build back the confidence of the people is to understand what it means to have a privilege as a minister and how to rightly use it. This book, therefore, seeks to explain the privileges of a minister highlighting some areas where attention have not been paid to which have become the umbrella covering the excesses of some ministers thereby given room for the abuse of their privileges. Among other things, this book address issues like; what it means to be privilege as minister; judging a minister; a minister or a Christian; called but not justified and why should a minister be judge etc.
