Globalization has given a new thrust to the international labour market, adding a new dimension to inter-state migration and inter-regional migration. Indeed labour migration is an important livelihood strategy in the developing countries like India. The present book, Migrant Rickshaw Pullers from Social Work Perspective: The Case of Delhi, is a soft attempt to paint a picture of the migrant rickshaw pullers and their socio-economic, living conditions in Delhi. The objective of the study is to examine the various socio-economic backgrounds, causes of migration of rickshaw pullers, living conditions and day to day problems and also coping mechanisms adopted by the rickshaw-pullers in dealing with various problems in Delhi.
