This book will contribute to an improved understanding of the sustainability problem of our present energy systems and potential solutions. The objective of this book is to present fault analysis of microgrid using different signal processing techniques. The approach is designed to develop students thinking process, enabling them to understand the concept of microgrid and different signal processing techniques. The approach and level of treatment are directed toward the postgraduate and undergraduate student of electrical engineering at technical colleges and universities. The coverage, however, is quite comprehensive and spans a wide range of topics commonly encountered in electric power system engineering practice. Chapter 1 briefly discussed different renewable energy sources, such as wind energy source, PV cell, etc. Chapter 2 covers the symmetrical faults, symmetrical components and unsymmetrical faults occur in a power system. Chapter 3 through 5 examines the different signal processing techniques for fault analysis in microgrid i.e. Wavelet Transform, Decision Tree, S-Transform, Hyperbolic S-Transform and Support Vector Machines.
