The aim of the present investigation is to determine how metamateriality may inspire innovative and challenging processes of art through redefining matter and material reality. The challenging ways through which metamateriality may be philosophically related to the conditions of the "fold" and "dis-programming" for advancing transversal methods, will form the conceptual basis of the present investigation, linking the philosophy of science and critical theory with proposing new art-forms. The focus is on the latest cases of art practice emerging between Quantum Theory and chemistry. The proposed types of drawing 'in' and 'through' matter, may contribute to raising the relationship between research, creativity and innovation to a different level of development, through the in-depth study and innovative intervention into the 'matter-energy flux.' This relationship is important for advancing not only art, but also the philosophy of science, critical theory, chemistry, materials science and other related fields.
