Medicinal value of the species have been ascertained based on the field study as well as literature survey. Recent field study in Chapai Nawabgang, Bangladesh reveals that the fresh leaves extract of Senna shopera (L.)Roxb. is very effective for the treatment of asthma. Bark extract of Pueraria tuberosa (Roxb. ex Willd.) is a very appropriate drug for the remedy of female diseases like dysmenorrhoea, leucorrhoea and amenorrhoea etc. Sometimes specific medicine for the remedy of different types of skin diseases have mentioned.
