This book discusses several mathematical models emphasizing the disease dynamics of psoriasis and its control. The approach of the control technique to the growth of keratinocyte concentration is explained through a negative feedback mechanism. The effect of inclusion of a realistic time delay in that system of psoriasis is also highlighted in the proper scope of the book. The effect of cytokines release introduced in a mathematical model of psoriasis and further elucidated in two different mathematical pathways-one is through the ordinary differential equations model system and another is through the fractional-order differential equations model system. In this book, the interaction between dendritic cells and CD8+ T-cells is considered to observe the role of CD8+ T-cells upon psoriasis. The book also consists of optimal control approach on the fractional-order system for controlling the excess production of keratinocyte cell population in a more significant way. It is targeted to researchers and scientists in the field of applied mathematics, health informatics, applied statistics and qualitative public health, as well as bio-mathematicians who wish to study and work in the field of mathematical modelling on autoimmune diseases like psoriasis.
