This nonfiction guide is to example God's design for marriage and to offer steps for married Christian couples to take in establishing and furthering a godly marriage. The author uses stories from his own marriage and truths of the Bible to portray to readers what God expects of men and women in marriage and in obedience to His will. The topic of the book is an important area of concern among Christians, whether married or single, and is one that welcomes more perspectives that are centered in the truths of the Bible and taken from different viewpoints. Comparing God's everlasting and never-ending love of His children to the vow a married couple makes to one another will exemplify to readers the way to see God's design and intention for love (between Himself, Jesus and among others). If He won't give up on couples, couples shouldn't give up on Him and each other, as stated by the author. The advice given by the author is practical in nature and simple to include in one's relationship with his/her spouse. He balances his points of wisdom with revelations of God's design through these actions to explain that these areas of improvement in a marriage are to glorify Him within the couple. Overall I rate this book 4 stars and a must read for married couples and those who are engaged to be married.
