Traumatic dental injuries have been a worldwide public health concern that usually need immediate treatment. It is reported to be frequently encountered in children due to falls, hyperactivity, cycling and sports activities. The delay or lack of basic interventions in the first admitted health care centres affects the prognosis of traumatized teeth negatively. It is unacceptable for a patient following dental trauma, which can occur frequently outside of office hours and on holidays, to have to wait a few hours or a few days for a dental examination in an emergency. On-time and proper treatment, plus clinical and radiographic follow-ups are important for the success of treatment and for the prevention of complications. Review articles and survey studies in the literature have reported that the majority of dental trauma patients did not receive appropriate emergency treatment worldwide.
