White spot lesions (WSLs) are defined as opaque areas of enamel formed by mineral loss from the subsurface layer of enamel. A differential diagnosis is important to decide the etiology of white spot lesions, as well as providing suitable treatment and esthetic management to meet expectations of patients. Upcoming minimally invasive or non-invasive treatment options that are most commonly opted by clinicians these days are remineralization therapy and resin infiltration techniques.
