Anne's first two novels, Ruthie Has a New Love and Girl Blog From Tucson are about her present life in Tucson, her past life as a native New Yorker. Her new novel now is not as funny or as much fun as Girl Blog From Tucson, altho of course it has its fun moments. It is very interesting tho. We read more about Anne's life now in Tucson, growing up in NYC, and living in an East Village tenement with her husband Bill. This novel goes deeper into her experiences. Especially in the last part where Anne talks about her life right now and her relationship with her mom. Her mom has just gone to Heaven and Anne is shocked down to her underpants that her mom disinherited her in favor of her brother. At first Anne experiences it all as thrilling dramatic storm, she feels excited and liberated. She is free to look at the truth of their relationship for the first time. She loves the truth because it explains everything. As Anne says. "I worked on my relationship with my mom my whole life and never got anywhere, now I understand why." Just as she is about to shut the door on her mom, an amazing transformation comes about. More love tenderness understanding than ever there was. Joy and happiness.
