This book deals with a little known diagnostic imaging technique, namely Medical Infrared Thermography (MIR). This exam is widely used in sports medicine, but little referenced in conventional medicine. Before the diagnostic imaging exams, the risks are minimal, presenting results that precede deformations of morphological character, i.e., still the physiological scope, such as temperature changes emitted by the body. Since cancer is an inflammation, its vascularization is always intense, which alters the thermal patterns of the tissues where it is installed. In its detection some blood tests with the indexes of the C-Reactive Protein (CRP) can be observed, but this is not conclusive; hence, the need for other measures of detection; revealing the essence of a curative medicine. However, in the scope of prophylactic medicine, IMT has proven to be a viable alternative, when associated with clinical examinations, explaining minimal differences in body thermal radiation, which suggests the performance of additional tests and analysis of family history; thus, it may precede a more serious situation.
