Exploring the experiences of LGBTQ parents and their children and their relationship with schools, this study illuminates how these families work with schools and how schools do, or do not, support children of LGBTQ parents. Based on empirical research and making space for the voices of parents and children, the work extends beyond traditional studies on gay and lesbian parents to include bisexual, transgender, and queer parents, as well as ethnicity and socioeconomic issues and the influence of pressure groups, school inspection frameworks, government, the media, celebrity LBGTQ parenting, and parenting communities.
