God places people in this world to impact and bless the lives of others, as well as to further the glory of His kingdom. We believe He called us to share the seasons of real life through our mother's journey. Through the good times as well as the struggles she faced, we sought to unveil her life, her loyalty to her children, her unwavering faith, and even her suffering and passing that it may help others in some way. While God expects us to plant the seeds of the promise of heaven, it is ultimately He to whom we give all the glory and praise. With Mama's passing, we came face to face with a grief we had never met before. We set out on a journey to the past: to the challenges she and our father faced, and along the way, we realized the passage back was, in essence, a process by which to understand not only the woman she was, but who we were in her. As the veil began to lift, we quizzed existence: What truly is this thing called life, and what is our purpose? Our journey took us to places we hadn't been in a long time, bringing new revelations, joy, and tears, along with some things bitter to remember. As we've written about the seasons of Mama's life, we realize more than ever how God can use anyone He chooses, and that everyone's journey matters; especially to Him. Mama's was not a life that was famous or held accomplishments one would read about in the news, but one that did extraordinary works while being an ordinary person...maybe not so much in the eyes of man, but certainly in the eyes of God. Mama was a simple woman who fulfilled God's mission for her life and whose servant heart continues to live in the hearts of the many she touched. Then...she pulled away with great power, reached up and took the hand of whoever was there to show her the way to her eternal home...Mama was at perfect peace with...Letting Go. Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord, Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference and others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garments spotted by the flesh. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His Glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. Jude 1:21-25 KJV
