Warren Akin (1811-1877) was a prominent attorney from Cartersville, Georgia, who served as the state's representative in the lower house of the Second Confederate Congress. This collection was originally published in 1959. The majority of these fifty letters were written while Akin was a member of the Confederate Congress.
