James Cheshire is a Professor of Geographic Information and Cartography at University College London. In 2017, the Royal Geographic Society honoured him with the Cuthbert Peek Award 'for advancing geographical knowledge through the use of mappable Big Data'. Oliver Uberti is a former senior design editor for National Geographic, who continues to help scientists translate their research into memorable visuals. He has designed figures for a range of high-profile academics, including geneticist David Reich and his bestseller Who We Are and How We Got Here.
