The Virus Hepatitis is an important worldwide public health problem, especially because they are most often asymptomatic and of easy transmission. It is estimated that about two billion people worldwide have already come into contact with virus B, about 325 million are chronic carriers of hepatitis B and 170 million hepatitis C (BRAZIL, 2006). Health professionals show a reference for the general population with regard to information about diseases and treatments in general. Thus, the educational background and degree of this professional should receive special attention, built on pillars that provide the content and student safety to transmit the information received to the population and their future clients / patients. It is a cross-sectional, exploratory study, conducted through an interview with script structured teaching of undergraduate courses in nursing and dentistry from two higher education institutions in a Northeast City. This study was aimed to assess the knowledge of teachers of undergraduate courses in nursing and dentistry from two higher education institutions in a Northeast City on aspects of Hepatitis B and C. The results show that teachers responded correctly.
