As a child, Koeke, together with her sisters, painted her heroes - from princesses to saints. She now brings them into reality as a collection of vibrantly colorful outfits chock-full of whimsical details. These tailored fantasies are brought to life on the bodies of ladies of advanced years. The publication presents the entire project: from the child-like naive drawings, via photographs of the dressed-up models before the sterile backdrop of their retirement home, to fun-loving fashion shows - an equally humorous and critical approach to the correlation of childhood dreams and the reality of getting older, in which the unsolved issues of an increasingly ageing society invariably resonate. The art project, fluctuating between sculpture, performance and allusions to the fashion world, was presented, among other places, at the Alternative Berlin Fashion Week in March of 2016.

Änne Söll ist Kunstwissenschaftlerin und arbeitet als Assistentin am Institut für Kunst und materielle Kultur an der Universität Dortmund. Publiziert hat sie zur Theorie des Materials, zu Themen der Geschlechterforschung und Popkultur. Prof. Dr. Nils Büttner, geb. 1967, Studium der Kunstgeschichte, Volkskunde und klassischen Archäologie. Promoviert an der Georg-August-Universität Göttingen mit der Arbeit Die Erfindung der Landschaft: Kosmographie und Landschaftskunst im Zeitalter Bruegels. 1998/99 Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an der Universität Göttingen. 2000/01 Ausstellungskurator am Herzog Anton Ulrich-Museum Braunschweig. Von 2001 bis 2008 Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Institut für Kunst und Materielle Kultur der Technischen Universität Dortmund. Dort im Wintersemester 2004/05 Habilitation mit der Arbeit Herr P. P. Rubens. Von der Kunst, berühmt zu werden. Seit Oktober 2008 Inhaber des Lehrstuhls für Mittlere und Neuere Kunstgeschichte an der Staatlichen Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart. Schwerpunkte seiner wissenschaftlichen Arbeit sind die deutsche und niederländische Kunst- und Kulturgeschichte der Frühen Neuzeit sowie die Geschichte von Graphik und Buchillustration. Sonja Eismann, Jahrgang 1973, lebt als freie Journalistin und Kulturwissenschaftlerin in Berlin und Wien. Sie ist Mitbegründerin und Chefredakteurin des Missy Magazine und lehrt Mode an der Kunstuniversität Linz. Sie war Redakteurin bei Intro und ist Herausgeberin des Buches Hot Topic.
