Julie's Golden Treasure Chest will be a series of books to address children's issues, with animal characters. We hope they will inspire children and teens to have the courage to find themselves and know they are "Enough." This book is a book about hope No matter how dark life may seem, you have the magic inside you, to shine brighter than the brightest star " Connie Lee "Julie's Golden Treasure Chest" tells the story of a little girl, who felt unloved, all alone. Like the story of the "Ugly Duckling" who thought he wasn't good enough, was laughed at and made fun of. Julie felt the same way. I could feel so much heartache for this little girl. Was she bad? NO...Was she abused? Yes. Children, who read this story will be able to connect, see that they are not alone in all the ugliness of Child Abuse and bullying. This story brings abuse to the forefront, showing a child that abusers will say or do anything to make you keep their secret. Julie had no choice. Who would believe her? Children abused feel the same way. No child deserves to be abused or bullied. They did not ask for it, and in no way are held responsible. That falls on the abuser. Julie finds herself and hopefully other children will see that they are important, not bad. By Mary Graziano: Copyrighted 2015 A wonderful story addressing a sensitive issue that shouldn't have to be told. Well written and illustrated. Jim Litzenberg www.birdsasart.com
