"This is a marvellous piece of work. Markus Raab has created a new way of thinking about Judgment and Decision Making by seriously considering the role of embodied choices. His ideas integrate knowledge from both cognitive psychology and movement science, and help to shed light on important concepts such as "gut feelings". The chapters span topics such as intuitive decisions athletes make in milliseconds to life-changing decisions such as whom to marry. The book is written in plain language and provides fascinating studies and real examples that can be useful when the readers are considering their own choices." --Michael Bar-Eli, Professor, University of Negev, Israel
"This is an entertaining and timely overview on how our bodies influence our reasoning. Both enthusiastically and approachably written, this book is a perfect introduction to the field of embodied cognition. Covering a wide range of topics between lab and life, a seasoned scientist explains and illustrates the deep connection between body and mind." --Martin Fischer, Psychology Department, University Potsdam, Germany
