It is important that people first be compatible spiritually in order to form a relationship worth progressing. A right relationship with GOD is first and foremost for every believer to have, and their lifelong mate should have a right relationship with GOD also-that is the foundation of a real Christian relationship that will survive the storms. Believers should know what they believe and stand for so that when they are approached by others of interest, or if they approach someone they can speak boldly and be confidently led by the SPIRIT of GOD. Mela believes that believers should know what questions to ask those of interest and not be afraid to communicate their expectations with those whom they are interested in forming a realtionship for higher purposes such as marriage.
