Kazuko Koike ist die Gründerin und Direktorin des Sagacho Exhibit Space in Tokio. Sie ist Autorin und Herausgeberin zahlreicher Bücher, darunter Issey Miyake East Meets West, Japanese Coloring, Japan Design und Aura of Space. Sie ist Mitglied des Beirats von MUJI. Midori Kitamura ist Vorsitzende des Miyake Design Studios und der Issey Miyake Foundation sowie Präsidentin von 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT. Sie arbeitete unter Issey Miyake an der Entwicklung von Kollektionen, Ausstellungen, Produkten und Publikationen, darunter auch das bei TASCHEN erschienene Buch Issey Miyake Pleats Please. 2011 kuratierte sie die Ausstellung Irving Penn and Issey Miyake: Visual Dialogue.
