Ischemic heart disease is one of the major problems currently plaguing mankind and is the main cause of death. A prospective quasi-experimental study was conducted with the aim of improving the control of modifiable risk factors related to ischemic heart disease in adults over 60 years of age from CMF17'31. Santa Clara in the period from October 2018 to February 2020. The universe was constituted by 127 adults with this risk, 50 of them integrated the sample to be studied according to established inclusion and exclusion criteria. The variables analyzed were obtained from the application of a questionnaire prepared for this purpose. The predominant age was 60-70 years, the most representative sex was female. The predominant factor was sedentary lifestyle followed closely by arterial hypertension. There was also a minority of patients with a family history of heart disease and diabetes mellitus, but a large majority were smokers, overweight and obese, carriers of some type of dyslipidemia and with very little knowledge of the disease.
