The aim of this volume is to provide an overview ofthe life experience and culture of female IrishTravellers in Ireland, with special consideration totheir experience in Northern Ireland. The IrishTravelling community are an indigenous minoritygroup. Traditionally a nomadic community Travellershave been marginalised and discriminated against withnew pluralistic initiatives at interculturalismfailing to moderate Irish society s perception of thecommunity.
