Houchang Chehabi is Professor of International Relations and History at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies, Boston University, USA. Peyman Jafari is a PhD researcher at the International Institute for Social History, Amsterdam and Leiden University, in the Netherlands. Maral Jefroudi is Co-Director of the International Institute for Research and Education (IIRE), Amsterdam. She received her PhD from Leiden University in 2017. She is a co-editor of Iran in the Middle East: Transnational Encounters and Social History (2015, I.B.Tauris).
