Auguste Comte (1798-1857) gilt als Begründer des Positivismus und der Soziologie. Comte lebte als Privatgelehrter und Schriftsteller; alle Versuche, eine akademische Position zu erhalten, scheiterten. Bis zu seinem Tod am 5.
