Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common primary liver tumor. Chemoembolization, although a palliative treatment for HCC, has a place in many indications and could be proposed as a treatment preceding liver transplantation. The aim of this study was to detail the technical characteristics of chemoembolization and its complications, and to evaluate efficacy criteria and post-treatment follow-up modalities.
