Three songs co-authored with CJ Chenier are on "The Desperate Kingdom Of Love" CD World Village Records Harmonia Mundi, won the Coups de Coeur Blues Category Award from l'Academie Charles Cros. She also co-authored with CJ Chenier the song, "Ridin' With Uncle Cleveland," on the CD "Can't Sit Down" World Village Records Harmonia Mundi label. The CD received a 2011 GRAMMY(r) nomination. Together with world renowned recording artist, Joe Sample, she co-authored for PRA Records the song, "Zydeco Train," featured in New Line Cinema's "Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay." Denise, Joe Sample and Marita Phillips wrote the song, "Until The End" on Ida Sand's CD "The Gospel Truth" ACT Music label. Denise and Joe Sample also co-wrote all songs on the "CreoleJoe Band" CD Victor Entertainment/PRA Records label featuring Joe Sample, Ray Parker, Jr. and CJ Chenier. She has four books in print and numerous articles published in magazines and newsletters with excerpts featured in newspapers: "The Port Arthur News, Houston Chronicle.""
