This book describes an industrial robot monitoring system that is remotely controlled via the internet. The use of industrial robot is increased in small to medium enterprise (SME's). Many of their processes need to be automated by using robot. The limitation of a programmer to monitor the robot always exists because programmer is not always being in the robot operation area. Thus, a prototype of a monitoring system was developed and tested in the IIUM Robotics laboratory by using a small industrial robot. The robot can be monitored using the real time video streaming if there is internet connectivity between the computers in the remote monitoring area and robot operational area. This book is aimed to help in developing a system that capable of connecting programmer with a robot at a remote location. The open source software fits the requirement of this project, which enable the development of system with a low cost budget. The user interface program enables the programmer to monitor the robot from a remote area.

Rahman, Md MozasserDr. Mozasser is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechatronics Engineering, International Islamic University Malaysia. He has received the Ph. D. degree in System Engineering from Mie University, Japan, in 2003. Dr. Mozasser has expertise in Robotics and Industrial Automation. He is member of IEEE and IMechE, and a CEng registered in UK.
