Dr Okonkwo obtained law degrees at the University of Nigeria, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, Nigeria and the University of Buckingham, United Kingdom. He also taught law at St. Patrick's College, London and currently a lecturer at Anambra State University, Nigeria. He was called to Nigerian Bar and Head of Cephas Chambers, Onitsha, Nigeria.
