Over the last decade, the available spectrum in wireless communications systems has been a very rare resource due to the increasing demand. However, licensed spectrum is not fully utilized by licensed users. Cognitive networks has been proposed as an efficient technique for the new communications systems in which the available unused licensed spectrum (also called spectrum holes) are exploited in an opportunistic way. Hela Chamkhia Omri received her B.S. degree from the Tunisian Academy of Aviation in 2009, her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the School of Engineering of Tunis, in 2011 and 2015,all in Technology of Information and Communications. Her research interests include wireless communications,with an emphasis on cognitive systems and interference management.
