Nowadays, network infrastructures are increasinglyused in support to commercialization of digitalmultimedia content. Non-material goods (videos, music, images and any other type of multimediainformation) are migrating from traditional deliverytechnologies to a full-electronic delivery model.Incidentally, the same features that make themanagement of digital content so easy are alsoresponsible for the difficulties of selling iton-line. Digital information as it is can be easilycopied an unlimited number of times and transferredto an unlimited number of people. Thus it is ofcrucial importance for the digital multimedia marketto insure that the holders of intellectual propertyover the content are appropriately rewarded and thatonly authorized parties can access the valuableinformation. The goal of this work is to describe how to implementinteroperable protection systems by providing abehavioral description of terminal reactions to giveninputs. This approach will enable the implementationof Intellectual Property Management and Protection(IPMP) tools allowing both wide interoperabilityamong different platforms and rapid reconfigurationin case of tampering.
