Victor Drayton the head of the intelligence services tragically passes away and in commemoration of his life work, his brain is implanted into a system called Intellect which he subsequently controls. He creates millions of monitoring programs which are designed to serve and assist human beings as an invisible presence in their lives. Nicknamed The Guardian he maintins the Intellect Framework but as the monitor programs have no independent emotional, intellectual or sensual abilities and function strictly according to programming guidelines and framework they exist within, he begins to yearn for a deeper human connection as he serves as a type of father figure to humanity from beyond the grave. The years of his lonely existence within Intellect start to take their toil and Victor Drayton creates a special program called Resolve, who he gifts with the ability to be emotionally and logically independent. to fill the void of emptiness he feels. Resolve is later allocated to a assist a female user whose life is in upheaval, who he assists to overcome the predators within her life. However during this process he falls in love with the human female he is assigned to and develops a desire to humanize his existence. Resolve petitions the Guardian to grant him the opportunity to transition and transform into a real human being. The Guardian then starts to realize his gift to himself has become his own heartbreak as he faces losing Resolve, the son he created to humanity.
