We all encounter people in our lives that are difficult to love. A lot of them we have to set limits on... Some we have to love them from a distance. This also reflects Jesus teaching on the sermon on the mount. Not everybody will respond to this kind of action. You can plant a seed and pray for them and watch God work in their lives. Who knows... Your enemy could eventually become your friend Who in your life is hard to love? You know what is important to remember is the reason for what we do as followers of Jesus. If we forget that, then we become just like the disciples when they started trying to figure out who was more important. This started anger and division among them just like today. Some people think that what they do is more important than the next, but that is not so. We all are important to God in our own way. We serve in different areas because all of our paths and journeys are different. We all serve one God. Amen. Look at Jesus... He didn't come to be served. He came to serve and to give His life as a sacrifice for us all. Our goal is to share the Good News of God's love to everyone. So let's not get all upset when someone don't listen or even make fun of us for what we believe in as we follow the path that Jesus set for us of a loving service and sacrifice. It doesn't matter who is more important or who's not listening. Just remember... Jesus came to serve and save and that's the only reason for everything we do. Amen. When we are young we are trying to find our way in life and listening to all the wrong voices especially those that are around the same age as we are who haven't lived or experienced anything just like we haven't. But when parents or even grandparents try and tell us what they have went through and experienced, we shrug it off like... Yeah right. I am smarter than that In actuality, we aren't... We need to listen to our elders for they have been where we are going and have been tried and made it through those storms of life and their advice is to help us, not to make those same mistakes that they did. There are some adults that haven't learned their lessons yet With that being said... If you are searching and trying to find your way; whether you are young or old, find an older person that is seasoned in the Word of God A person who has been drinking deeply from Gods love and goodness all throughout their life. Sure, they have had their ups and downs as well. They have alot of wisdom to share with us to help us grow and flourish in our faith about how God has helped them make it thru all those tough spots in life. Amen. You know... We all have times of trouble in our lives, but its how we go through them that determines how long they last and the blessings and the breakthroughs that we receive. Amen. It's not the way God intended it, but when Adam fell into sin back in the garden, sin took hold of everything and the end results has been disorder and total dysfunction in all our lives for generations, but the reality of this is when Jesus came on the scene... He promised us peace and to be of good cheer; because He overcame the world this is our hope in a fallen world. Thru His death and resurrection, He continues to give us the victory no matter how much trouble or confusion we face in our lives. We can count on Jesus for peace in those times. Amen. You know... When we have pictures taken, they only show our outside appearance. But God sees what is within us Pictures hide our troubled souls and the sins that we have hidden inside.
