The Information seeking behaviour development in an academic institution is a two-study which combines a study on reading habits together with another on the use of Print Book, Internet, and Other sources for academic work and pleasure. Reading ability is a critical success factor in any intellectual endeavour. It promotes quick and good understanding of issues. It lays solid foundation for a sound information seeking behaviour. However, the conditions prevailing in Africa and Ghana, in particular, militate against the promotion of effective reading habits. Hence the study examines some core elements that nurture effective reading habits and information seeking behaviour. Sample size of 217 and 200 of undergraduates students were used respectively for the first and the second survey study. Current study, to update the research, explores the use of Print Book, Internet and Other sources by the respondents for academic work on the one hand and pleasure on the other. The result and its implications were thoroughly discussed. This study blends theory and practice; it is a useful book for students, teachers, counsellors, researchers and parents.
