Despite the fact that information technology has been integrated in health care for a relatively long time, use of electronic medical records (EMR) is limited and clinicians still encounter challenges in the use of EMR, which in many instances is considered an extra workload and a source of burnout. The perceptions of health professionals is a core factor of success or failure of the implementation process. More EMR are increasingly being implemented in developing countries; however, little is known about the use of EMR in these countries. In this study, experiences and attitudes of Egyptian nurses toward EMR were explored.
