Approximately 100,000 Americans under the age of 18 have a diagnosis of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). As such, children and adolescents may experience the effects of this illness during the school day. Results from the study provided useful information that can be utilized to facilitate the educational growth and learning potential of students dealing with this chronic illness.
