Pseudarthria viscida (L.) Wight & Arn, is a medicinal plant used in traditional medicine in India which is gradually disappearing from the natural habitat due to over exploitation and needed to be conserved. This book focused on the evaluation of phytochemical contents in the plant in relation to the medicinal properties, in vitro propagation and organogenesis, in vitro secondary metabolite production, elicitation of bioactive molecule from cell suspension culture and evaluation of medicinal properties of in vitro regenerated roots as well as bioactive molecules from Pseudarthria viscida. Use of in vitro developed plants and roots can help reducing the over exploitation of the plant from the wild. Bioactive molecules like gallic acid from the plant can be produced and elicited from the cell suspension culture, which in turn helps in conservation as well as sustainable utilization of the plant.
