A variety of impression techniques for the fabrication of implant supported prosthesis have evolved in the past decade. Selection of a specific technique depends on the evaluation of a particular patient and the clinical situation present. This dissertation highlights the various techniques of impression making, their merits and demerits in the fabrication of implant supported prosthesis and also the selection of an appropriate technique for the corresponding clinical situation present.
