In order to achieve the compression in video applications, many video coding standards have been developed. These coding standards satisfy the requirements of applications for various purposes like better picture quality, higher coding efficiency, and more error robustness.H.264/AVC also called MPEG-4 part 10 video coding standards, was developed by the JVT consisting of experts from VCEG and MPEG. It has outperformed all the previous video codecs in terms of coding efficiency and error robustness.This project is aimed at Implementation of baseline H.264/AVC video decoder, for the target application of videoconferencing, video telephony services for wireless handheld device like mobile phones. The baseline profile can be easily used in mobile phone and in wireless system due to its low complexity and less processing power.
