This study was conducted in order to investigate the possibility of utilizing geographic information systems in determining the impact of climate change on sea level rise, and subsequent land loss in the Nile Delta. Data of sea level rise were obtained from MAGICC/SCENGEN program. The results show that there is an increase in land loss of the Nile Delta from the years 2030, 2060 and 2100. Although the used scenarios show that land loss is not significant, the infrastructure loss as well as urban and industrial loss need to be further investigated.
