Newly launched agricultural products in the market face quite a lot of competitive challenges. This, in no time, will gradually reduce the potency of the product. This will lead to the supersaturation of the market and farmers will get little or no profit. In Nigeria the Government has never given serious attention to farmer digital skills empowerment programs, which is an unfortunate scenario. Food policy makers have also neglected this vital channel to sustain future food in Africa. A couple of months ago I was privileged to team up with Agriculture Graduate Association of Nigeria (AGAN) to see how we can integrate digital skills to support our rural farmers. It was an exciting event -and we hope to see its impact fully in our farming skills. According the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO, 2019) of the United Nations, a developing nation like Nigeria must adopt recent agriculture innovations to surmount their farming challenges by embracing agricultural technology through young farmers active participation in all chain of the production process (i.e production, processing, preservation and storage). This will create jobs opportunity in the farming community.
