I am in awe of what God has done in my life. I look back and see where he has not only guided my path, but placed extraordinary people along the way. I am so humbled to know that my heavenly Father loves me so much. He has guided me through this study and every battle I have faced. He has reminded me of his promises and been true to his word. Even though I grew up in church, I had no idea of some of the principles or tools God has provided for us. I want to encourage you not to live in depression, loneliness, or defeat. God has a plan for your life and He has promised it is good. Jeremiah29:11 NIV "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." I was recently privileged to return to a place I had visited many times in my childhood, a place of great spiritual significance to me. As a very young girl, I remember seeing multitudes of people come together to worship God from all over the world. I had no idea at that time of foreign languages but I remember hearing people talking strange words to each other I saw the different clothing and especially liked the real bright colored ones. I could not understand why a few people wore heavy winter coats when it was summertime and everyone else had light clothing and short sleeves. Some people slept in their cars or in tents for days. Many of these people saved money all year or for several years to make this journey. None of that mattered when you got there. The power and presence of God was so strong. The messages gave you hope. One that I remember was, "Do it again Lord Do it again " Hundreds or maybe even thousands of people were healed at this place. When all the different nations sang together, it was as if angels were singing before the throne of Heaven. The music was like nothing I have ever heard. There was such a presence of energy, faith, and unity. The old and young, rich and poor, with different skin tones, nationalities, and languages were together for one reason. . . . to worship the Lord Jesus Christ. Later I visited the cross Pastor Cecilia Grimsley Holt had taken me to see years ago. It is a beautiful place on top of a mountain overlooking the valley below. It is dedicated to those "who answered their countries call to service" in various wars. At this place, I am reminded that as a Christian, I have answered the call to serve. More importantly, Jesus not only answered the call, He came to serve. He went to battle for us and at the cross, with his face unrecognizable, his body torn apart in agonizing pain, He said, "It is finished." He was saying, The battle is won The truth is that the battle has already been won and we are blessed or (according to Jaquez) we are "lucky already." I will be forever changed from God sending me on this mission. If you allow God's word to speak to you, you too will face the battlefield in a whole new way. Shirley
