So, if this is your first time at the institute -- howdy. If you are back for more -- howdy too... This edition is a bit different than my other offerings in several ways. One: it's larger. Two: it's quite a bit darker. Three: it is comprised of works that have been judged, sold or preformed. In short this my most professional (as in I did it for fame and fortune) work. Whatever the hell that means. I think I am beginning to get the hang of this self publishing stuff, but, I still have a long way to go before I actually know what I'm doing half the time. The worst part of self publishing is the self part. I'm not a very good editor, and I kind of ignore mechanics like punctuation, grammar, sentence structure, and spelling; I also make up words. But hey - CREATIVE WRITING - right? I am not trying to set the literary world on fire, I just want to entertain my friends, family, and who ever else happens by. Ok? In my first two books I just put pictures I had together with poems I had and called it good. You know, my "whatever works" works. I hope this collection is a bit more collected and coherent. These works are college assignments, birthday cards, tattoo designs, commissioned projects, and writings I did in group sessions or for workshops. Many of the poems have been preformed at open mics and before peer groups.
