Background: Semen hyperviscosity (SHV) is a disease that causes male infertility in both in vitro and in vivo. SHV affects 12-29 percent of men and may be a cause of male infertility. Semen is made up of fluids released from the male accessory glands that include proteins necessary for semen to coagulate and liquefy.Aim of the study: To investigate the association between semen hyperviscosity and sex hormones and zinc, the study will shed light on the impact of semen hyperviscosity on sperm quality. Methods and Subjects: An interview meeting was used to fill out the questionnaire in this case-control prospective study. The participants in the study were 100 males (50 have hyperviscosity as cases and 50 have normal viscosity) as a control group. Sexual hormones were determined by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. Data were analyzed using SPSS statistical package version 23.
