The fragility of peacebuilding processes, reinforced by situations of mobile armed or economic violence, makes it necessary to think about the human dimension on the African continent by implementing public policies to protect human dignity. The historical profiles of the various TRCs in West Africa show the complexity of the processes, in that most of the countries weakened by war have initiated reconciliation processes that have failed and had to wait several years for their implementation. This reflection analyzes the human development challenges in Niger and the complexity of reconciliation processes in Liberia and Sierra Leone.
