The Historical Records of Australia project began in 1914 with 33 volumes of original documents published up until 1925 when the project was discontinued. In 1997 the project was revived with the publication of Historical Records of Australia Series III, Volume VIII.

 

The current volume of this historical reference compiles dispatches, letters, and papers relating to the history of Tasmania for the year of 1830. Each document has been reproduced with original spellings and nuances, and helpful commentary and explanatory notes are included.
