The history of the educational process has been established as an important field of research to the historiography. When coupled with other cultural changes, such as political and economic, it is regarded as an important element in interpreting the past. The newly created Brazilian Republic was marked by several educational reforms that tried to make the school an instrument to spreading the republican ideas. Such ideas led to changes in the daily life of Brazilian public schools, through changes in various elements that constitute the school culture of that time. To reveal the educational past of a society is important to investigate the internal operation of the educational institutions. To achieve this purpose, this work chose the textbook as the main object of research, for through it, understand how the various social networks has influenced its creation and circulation.
