He was a German Luftwaffe pilot who she called her Eagle. Unfortunately, Ernst had been killed during the war. So despite praying several times a day and hoping God would look favourable on her prayers, she didnt expect them to be answered. Aprils prayers were eventually answered but not in the way she wanted. In place of Ernst, God sent her an exact copy of her old lover.
